Potential dance I/Cs are required to come down on 2 days- 1 for an interview and on 13th May (Wednesday) to showcase their choreographed dance.
All interviews will be conducted in groups (e.g. 3-4 applicants will be interviewed together, generally by class, unless we had to swap your timings).
Do remember your time slot and come prepared, and on time. Should you be unable to make it for any reason, make a mutual swap with any of the other applicants and inform us of who you are and who you are swapping with at 94769038(Andrea) or 90668539(Warren) at least a day beforehand.
Here’s how you guys can prepare for the interviews:
POTENTIAL ACTIVITIES I/Cs:
- Come up with a proposal for a faculty outing (theme, activities, etc.), taking into consideration that it should be feasible, creative & fun!
- Ideas for any new initiatives that can be planned for the faculty. (Inter-faculty activities are welcome too)
POTENTIAL DANCE I/Cs:
- Prepare a choreography (4 sets of 8) for next year’s Ares Faculty Dance (!!!) individually.
- Song choice is up to you, though upbeat and catchy songs are preferred.
- Please try to work in some vocalisations into the dance!
- Please prepare your own music in the form of a thumb-drive, or your hand-phone.
POTENTIAL SPORTS I/Cs:
- Come up with an original cheer that you would use to boost faculty morale at events like CSM (:
POTENTIAL PUBLICITY I/Cs:
- Design a poster for a fictitious faculty event (but keep it realistic please). Bring it along during your interview.
- You are strongly encouraged to make use of IT software.
POTENTIAL SECRETARY/TREASURERS:
- There’s nothing much to prepare for. Just be at your best during the interview (:
Besides the above tasks, you will be asked other questions during the interview too. Not to worry, just be yourself (:
Lastly, there has been an overwhelming response in terms of applicants (80 zomg), which only goes to show how enthusiastic we all are about our red-hot faculty. However, there are limited spots in the fac comm, and we hope that you guys will respect our decisions and regardless of the outcome, continue to support the super sexy, super hot, super amazing, super awesome ARES we’ve all come to love!
