Yo JC1 Aresians! :D

Games Day is just round the corner. As you guys enjoy yourselves either by competing or just supporting ur frens on that day, we do hope that you’ll bear in mind a few simple rules for the day.

Here are a few important rules for games day:
1. Games are to be played in a fair and sporting manner, as referees have the right to disqualify any team which competes in an unsporting manner.
2. The judges’ decision is final.
3. Any injury to a player during the game such that he/she cannot continue the game will result in a walkover. Pls do take care of yourself when competing in the games, as we do not wish to see anyone getting hurt.
4. All players MUST wear their faculty shirts when competing. All teams are to report at least 5 mins before their fixtures to the Chief Umpire.

On Games Day, ARES will be judged based on the
1. number of painted faces at each competition venue,
2. level of vocal support at each competition venue

Aresians, we do need you to get your faces painted and scream as loudly as you can for your friends who are competing. However, pls do note that there may be a need for you to be asked to shift to another games venue to cheer as we would wish to have the maximum amt of vocal support possible at each venue. After all, we will still be cheering for mighty ARES!!:) Also, pls be reminded that no form of jeering at any point of time is allowed during games day tomorrow.

The respective venues for the games are:
Frisbee – Field
Floorball – Netball court
Badminton and Table tennis – Hall
Volleyball – Volleyball court
Basketball – Basketball court

We strongly encourage all Aresians to get your faces painted on that day. Rest assured, our face design totally rocks!:) Do remember to scream your lungs out for the Aresians competitors too!:D
All supporters with painted faces are to be seen in their fac shirts, so pls wear yr Ares shirts tomorrow. If you have any extra Ares shirts, pls lend them to your friends who do not have it.

Lastly, just remember to have FUN! So while we’re having the time of our lives tmr, do remember the above important points.The games committee looks forward to your great enthusiasm and support tomorrow :D

The faculty of ares

In Greek mythology, Ares, meaning battle and strife, is the Olympian god of war and son of Zeus and Hera.

Colour: Fiery Red
The colour red represents the fiery spirit and tenacity of Ares. Don't you feel your heart racing and adrenaline pumping when you see a sea of red cheering for their faculty? Not to mention we're the hottest faculty. :)

Mascot: Raging Stallion
When speaking of the stallion, courage and strength comes to mind - just like when speaking of our faculty!
